Prof. Awawu Nmadu is a community health physician, Associate Professor, and Head of the Department of Community Medicine at the College of Medicine, Kaduna State University, Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, a postgraduate fellowship in Public Health from the West African College of Physicians, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa.
With over 19 years of experience in clinical medicine and more than 14 years of progressive experience in academia and research, Prof. Awawu has contributed significantly to medical education, public health research, and the training of health professionals.
