Dr. Amal Ali is a Swedish-Somali dental surgeon and public health professional with more than 10 years of experience in public health, particularly in non-communicable disease prevention and health promotion. She currently serves as Senior Technical Advisor to the Director General’s Office at the Ministry of Health Development Somaliland.
Her work focuses on health systems strengthening, health policy, health diplomacy, and workforce development in low- and middle-income settings. She has contributed to advancing public health initiatives and strategic health sector development in Somaliland. Dr. Amal is a member of the Inaugural Alumni Executive Committee of the Kofi Annan fellowship in Global Health Leadership Programme.
