A passionate development practitioner with particular interest in health systems strengthening. My professional experience in the public sector spans over 28 years in various sectors including land, local government and presently health, where my primary focus is in health policy, planning and financing, including coordination of strategic health partnerships and resource mobilization to promote sustainable health systems. I am a firm supporter of systems thinking approaches towards sustainable and evidence-informed solutions to most of our continental development and societal challenges.
I am currently seconded to the Botswana Health Emergency Preparedness, Response and Resilience (HEPRR) project as Project Manager, with the responsibility to provide leadership and overall support on project planning and the day-to-day management of all project operations, including monitoring all project activities to ensure timely implementation and compliance with all reporting and documentation requirements. The project is implemented as Phase 8 of the regional HEPRR Program under the Multiphase Programmatic Approach (MPA) to strengthen health system resilience and preparedness across Eastern and Southern Africa.
