Dr. Adilson De Pina is a public health specialist with over 15 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, programme leadership, and health systems strengthening. He currently serves as Executive Secretary (CEO) of CCS-SIDA in Cabo Verde.Prior to this role, Dr. De Pina led Cabo Verde´s Malaria Elimination Programme in Cabo Verde under the Ministry of Health, supported by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. He has also contributed to extensively to the implementation of national HIV and tuberculosis (TB) programmes.
Over the past five years, Dr. De Pina has focused on leadership development for public health professionals in Cabo Verde, collaborating with universities, teaching master’s-level courses, and leading research initiatives at the National Institute of Public Health (INSP). His expertise extends across West Africa, where he has supported HIV, TB, and malaria programmes in Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe, The Gambiae, Ghana, and Senegal. He has also represented Cabo Verde in several regional and international public health forums.
