Erastus Maina is an Advisory Partner in the International Development Advisory Services practice at KPMG East Africa, with more than 21 years of experience across global professional services firms. He has led different development and health programmes across Africa, specializing in programme and portfolio management, grant financial management, monitoring and evaluation, institutional strengthening, and capacity building.
He is passionate about strengthening health systems and co-leads KPMG’s regional health portfolio. Over the course of his career, he has advised major global health partners including the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.
Previously, Erastus served as Senior Manager at KPMG East Africa and as Senior Project Manager at Dalberg Advisors, where he managed large-scale health initiatives including Safe Surgery 2020 in Tanzania and Ethiopia and Kenya’s Reproductive Health Output-Based Approach project. His work has focused on delivering innovative, scalable solutions to improve health outcomes and health system performance across the region.
