Dr. Nicole Fouda Mbarga is a public health specialist with over 12 years of experience in health security across Africa including cholera control, vaccinology, operational research, humanitarian health coordination and resource mobilisation across Africa. She is a researcher and doctoral student in Public Health at Johns Hopkins University.
She has worked on strengthening public health emergency preparedness and response systems in Africa, working with the World Health Organization and other partners. She currently serves as Senior Officer for National Cholera Plans with the GTFCC- CSP, supporting the development and implementation of cholera control strategies in high-burden countries across Africa and Asia.
Dr. Nicole Fouda is also Chair of the Executive Board of Women in Global Health (WGH) Cameroon, where she advocates for gender equity in global health leadership. In 2024, she received the Dr Richard Hoffman MD MPH DrPH Prize for Doctoral Students in Public Health at Johns Hopkins University.
Her work combines technical expertise, research, advocacy, and leadership to strengthen health systems, advance gender equity, and improve outbreak preparedness and response in fragile and resource-limited settings.
