Dr. Yakaria Touré is a public health physician from Guinea with over 16 years of experience in infectious disease prevention and control, and international health. He currently serves as Technical Advisor to the General Directorate of the National Health Security Agency (ANSS) Guinea.
For six years, he led the Public Health Emergency Operations Center (PHEOC), coordinating multi-stakeholder responses to major outbreaks including, Ebola, Marburg, COVID-19, yellow fever, Lassa fever and measles. His work focused on strengthening emergency preparedness, response coordination, and epidemic management systems.
Dr. Yakaria has played a key role in advancing Guinea’s health security architecture and continues to support national efforts to strengthen infectious disease prevention and emergency response capacity.
