Prof. Adem Hiko Woshie is a Veterinary Public Health, Biomedical Sciences and Economics specialist, researcher, and academic with over 25 years of experience in Ethiopia. He is currently a faculty member at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Haramaya University, Ethiopia.
His work focuses on One Health approaches, including biomedical sciences, food safety, zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and environmental health as well as health economics. In recent years, he has concentrated on applied One Health research, Natural and Social sciences interlinked developmental activities, and health-related training as part of disease prevention and control strategies. Pro. Adem is also working as reviewer of international projects and research journals in the area of his expertise.
Prof. Adem is also engaged in higher education leadership, curriculum development and editorial manager of journal in Ethiopia. He serves as Vice-President II of the Association of African Veterinary Education Establishments (2A2E-V) under the African Union contributing to strengthening veterinary and One Health education across the continent.
