Prof. Jibril Omuya Abdulmalik is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Consultant Psychiatrist at the Department of Psychiatry, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan.
He is a mental health advocate with a strong focus on public mental health approaches and community engagement to improve mental health services in Nigeria and across Africa. Since 2016, he has contributed a weekly mental health awareness column in the Nigerian Tribune, aimed at improving public understanding and reducing stigma around mental illness.
Prof. Jibril is committed to continuous learning, teaching, and community service, working with multiple stakeholders to strengthen mental health systems and promote population mental wellbeing.
