Dr. Ayodele Majekodunmi is a One Health epidemiologist with over 15 years of experience in the control of neglected tropical diseases, zoonoses, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and One Health governance, with a strong focus on their impact on rural livelihoods.
She currently serves as Executive Director of Ajisefini Consulting and Technical Coordinator for the Health Security Programme (HeSP) for West and Central Africa. In recent years, she has supported national capacity building for health security through the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations Emergency Centre for Transboundary Animal Diseases, with emphasis on AMR and surveillance systems strengthening.
Dr. Ayodele is Co-Chair of the World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology Africa Network (WAAVP-AN) and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh.
