Prof. Flavia Senkubuge is a public health leader and academic with expertise in health policy, health systems strengthening, and global health. She serves as Deputy Dean for Stakeholder Relations and Associate Professor of Public Health Medicine at the University of Pretoria.
She chairs the WHO AFRO African Advisory Committee on Health Research and Development (AACHRD) and is the 20th President of the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA). She also serves as President of Women in Global Health (WGH) South Africa and Vice-President of the African Federation of Public Health Associations (AFPHA).
With over 15 years of experience, Prof. Senkubuge has held several senior leadership roles, including Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor and becoming the first woman Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Pretoria. She is recognized for her commitment to strengthening health systems and fostering strategic partnerships across local, regional, and global levels.
