Shamiso Nyakuwa is the Program Director at Pangaea Zimbabwe, where she leads the design, implementation, and monitoring of PEPFAR/CDC-funded projects focusing on key and priority populations in Zimbabwe.
She is a global health and development professional with extensive experience in programme management across public health, research, and capacity development. Her career began in HIV prevention as a volunteer peer educator for adolescents. She later expanded her work into mental health capacity development, maternal and child health programming, and independent consultancy in development sectors.
Shamiso holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a postgraduate degree in Global Health and Development from University College London, where she studied under the African Graduate Scholarship. She has strong interests in mental health, non-communicable diseases, and health systems strengthening.
