Dr. Olusola Oladeji is a public health physician with a PhD in Community Health, a Master of Public Health (MPH), and Fellowship of the West African Postgraduate College of Physicians (Faculty of Public Health). With over 25 years of progressive leadership experience across Africa and the Caribbean, he has consistently delivered transformative results in primary health care systems strengthening and integrated health programming.
His expertise spans maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (MNCAH), nutrition, immunization, WASH in health care facilities, health emergency response, and multisectoral programming. He has a strong track record of shaping national policies, strengthening government systems, leading high-performing teams, mobilizing resources, and advancing equity-focused programmes aligned with global health and development priorities.
Dr. Oladeji’s research interests include implementation science, health systems strengthening, and primary health care. He has authored over 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
He currently serves as Health and Nutrition Specialist with UNICEF Belize, where he leads the Child Survival and Development portfolio, providing strategic oversight across key programme areas to improve population health outcomes.
