Prof. Asmae Khattabi is a PhD-trained Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health at Mohammed VI University of Health Sciences (UM6SS), where she currently serves as Director of the Center for Doctoral Studies. She plays several active roles in advancing global health security. Prof. Khattabi is a member of the WHO Joint External Evaluation (JEE) mission and has also participated in JEE missions in Egypt.
She contributes to regional and global public health initiatives as a task force member of the Regional Competency Framework and the Research Specialty Committee of the International Academy of Public Health (IAPH). She is also a member of the TEPHINET Working Group on Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) Accreditation.
In addition, Prof. Asmae Khattabi serves as Vice Chair of the inaugural Alumni Executive Committee of the Kofi Annan Fellowship in Global Health Leadership and is also a member of the Steering Committee of the Kofi Annan Global Health Leadership Programme.
