Judith Pamela Omondi Anyona is an international development professional with over 20 years of experience designing and implementing health programs across Africa, Asia, and North America, with a focus on HIV, MNCH, SRH, and immunization. She is currently the Program Lead for the East Africa Hub at WomenLift Health.
Judith has worked across multiple layers of the health sector—from HIV/AIDS and immunization programs to Reproductive health, health systems strengthening, supply chains, procurement, and strategic financing. Her leadership has consistently focused on ensuring that essential health commodities reach communities effectively, particularly at the last mile.
She led a transformative national initiative supporting Kenya’s Ministry of Health to restructure health supply chain functions through a task-shifting strategy. Which reassigned commodity management responsibilities from pharmacists to trained healthcare workers, expanding system efficiency and access.
Judith was instrumental in introducing DMPA-SC, a self-injectable contraceptive, into Kenya—coordinating stakeholders and guiding policy changes that enabled pharmacists and Community Health Workers to provide injectable contraception.
At the regional level, she contributed to the establishment of the North Africa Regional Coordination Centre (NRCC) under Africa CDC, supporting member states in strengthening national public health institutes and advancing pandemic preparedness.
