Mr G. Nekerwon Gweh is a communications professional with more than five years of experience in broadcast journalism,public relations, advocacy and administration. He currently serves as Communications Officer for Africa CDC, where he is responsible for media relations and outreaches. He supports the development of creative campaign messages for different audiences and communication platforms. He has additional experience in safety regulations, risk communication and community development. Before joining Africa CDC, Mr Gweh served as Producer and Senior Reporter for Matrix Media Incorporated (Capitol FM 89.7) based in Liberia, where he produced and co-presented the institution’s premier radio programme focusing on socio-economic and development issues in Liberia. He was recognized for his outstanding service to his community when he served as a national volunteer in the rural parts of Liberia during the Ebola virus disease outbreak in 2014. Mr Gwehholds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from the University of Liberia and other related professional certificates. He speaks fluent English.
