New Partnership Aims to Elevate Africa’s Major Public Health Events
A new agreement between the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) and Informa Markets, a global leader in live and on demand events and data services, aims to strengthen the management of large scale public health events mainly in Africa.
The Memorandum of Understanding is intended to strengthen the planning, delivery and long term sustainability of the International Conference on Public Health in Africa (CPHIA) and other flagship public health convenings. By combining Africa CDC’s scientific and policy leadership with Informa Markets’ global expertise in large scale event management, the partnership seeks to enhance the quality, reach and impact of Africa’s foremost public health platforms.
Since its launch in 2021, CPHIA has grown into Africa’s leading forum for public health dialogue, policy alignment and scientific exchange, bringing together political leaders, researchers, health professionals and global partners. The fifth edition, CPHIA 2026, is scheduled to take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with thousands of delegates expected to attend.
