Dr. Judith Kose OTIENO is the Regional Program Lead for the Eastern Africa Regional Coordinating center (Eastern Africa RCC) for the AfricaCDC. This is a crucial leadership position responsible for overseeing and coordinating efforts to prevent, detect, and respond to infectious disease outbreaks in the African continent.
Dr Judith is a Pediatric Infectious diseases specialist with over 20 years’ experience extending to Global public health; She is a Public Health Specialist with expansive experience in HIV, TB, hepatitis , NTDs and COVID 19 prevention treatment and management; Experienced in execution of clinical programs including communicable and non-communicable diseases; and implementation research. strategic direction, program implementation for impact, product introduction and support for access, monitoring and evaluation including maternal and child health, TB, HIV and health related Implementation research
Her additional areas of interest include health market analysis and shaping, regulatory frameworks for health products, regulatory strengthening strategies and stakeholder collaboration and Engagement, Dr Judith Kose was the recipient of the 2006 International Research Health Award from The American Pediatric Association and is also a PHD candidate at Erasmus Medical centre, Rotterdam ,Netherlands in the Department of Viroscience and Global Public health.
