The unit is currently engaged in setting priorities and identifying specific evidence-based activities over the next five years (2022 – 2027) for the prevention and control of endemic and neglected tropical diseases on the continent. That will support MS to achieve global targets in reducing morbidity and mortality related to HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, viral hepatitis, and Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs).
