Biography

Margaret(Meg) Edwin is an award-winning global communication strategist and former journalist, celebrated for her passion for social impact, storytelling, and innovation. With over 20 years of experience, Meg has a proven track record of designing high-impact visibility campaigns and driving policy reforms that create lasting benefits for communities and the planet. Her expertise in strategic communication, coupled with her ability to build collaborative relationships among stakeholders, donors, and partners, has led to transformative achievements in international development.

Her dedication to youth empowerment earned her the inaugural PR Excellence Award from the Public Relations Society of Tanzania for her work on the USAID/Feed the Future Tanzania Advancing Youth program. As the author of the Impact Stories Book, a 162-page visually compelling publication showcasing the journeys of 29 empowered youth, Meg brought to life inspiring stories of success. This work, foreworded by the USAID Mission Director, reflects her skill in leveraging storytelling to drive change. Additionally, her award-winning photography was featured at the USAID YouthPower Annual Learning Network Meeting in Washington, DC, in 2020.

Throughout her career, Meg has forged strategic relationships with international donors and development organizations, including the United Nations and the European Union. She has successfully led communications for USAID-funded programs in agribusiness and youth empowerment, consistently delivering innovative strategies that enhance brand visibility and align with global standards.

Beyond her professional achievements, Meg is deeply committed to giving back. She serves on non-profit boards, mentors early-career communication professionals, and advises start-ups on branding and storytelling. Her volunteer work with UK charities earned her the prestigious Chevening Gold Award. Outside of work, Meg enjoys hiking and recently summited Mt. Kilimanjaro.
