1. Context
Africa CDC is in the process of implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system founded on Microsoft Dynamics 365. This system will integrate essential functional modules, including Finance, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Human Resources (HR), and Grant Management. The initiative is a cornerstone of Africa CDC’s broader organizational modernization and digital transformation agenda.
The primary goal of this strategic project is to improve efficiency, accountability, and transparency throughout all divisions of Africa CDC. The ERP implementation is fully aligned with both the Africa CDC Digital Transformation Strategy and the overarching digital governance vision of the African Union.
To realize these objectives, Africa CDC is seeking a seasoned Project Manager (ERP Implementation) to spearhead and coordinate the entire implementation process. The Project Manager will be responsible for directing collaboration among internal stakeholders and external partners and ensuring that the delivery of the ERP system meets all established technical, operational, and governance standards.
2. Purpose
The consultancy aims to deliver strong leadership and effective management throughout the entire Africa CDC ERP system implementation process. The Project Manager will be tasked with overseeing the project to ensure it is completed on time, within the established parameters, and according to budgetary constraints. Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring the implementation adheres to Africa CDC’s operational needs and complies with data governance and cybersecurity protocols. Acting as the key coordinator, the Project Manager will foster collaboration and communication among Africa CDC departments, the ERP implementation partner, Microsoft, and external donors, ultimately driving the successful rollout and smooth integration of the ERP system across the organization.
