1. The Africa Union the Recipient has received financing from the African Development Bank hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Africa CDC Covid-19 Response Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contractfor Procurement of Laboratories consumable and equipment to Support the Mpox Response in Member State.

• For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.

• The Africa CDC now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Procurement of Laboratories consumable and equipment to Support the Mpox Response in Member State.

• The tender is divided into 3 LOTS as follows:

Each LOT is indivisible, and bidders are allowed to bid for one or more Lots.

• Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (International), (OCBI) method as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Framework dated October 2015 and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.

• The Solicitation document in English language and may be obtained by interested bidders from the Africa CDC upon request. Please send an email to tender@africacdc.org, and elodiel@africacdc.org to get the solicitation document.

• Bids must be physically delivered to the address below on or before 29^th August 2025 15h00 Addis Ababa Time. Bids should be properly bound and presented in four (4) copies one of which is the original. The Outer envelope should clearly indicate the tender title and reference N^o of the tender.

• Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 29th August 2025 at 15h30 Addis Ababa Time.

• Attention is drawn to the Procurement Framework requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
