The African Union has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Africa Centres for Disease Control Support Program to Combat Current and Future Public Health Threats Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) include the development and deployment of a comprehensive and robust methodology for conducting the Mid-Term Review (MTR) of the Africa CDC Strategic Plan (2023–2027). This involves designing the review approach, guiding data collection and analysis, and leading the preparation of reports that provide evidence-based findings and actionable recommendations. The consultant will facilitate validation of key documents such as the inception report, MTR framework, tools, draft and final reports, and an updated organizational learning agenda. Additionally, the Services encompass providing technical leadership throughout the review process, ensuring inclusivity and alignment with Africa CDC’s institutional goals, collaborating closely with internal teams and regional stakeholders, and preparing dissemination materials including summary presentations to support strategic decision-making and adaptive implementation of the strategic plan.

The African CDC now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are:
a) Qualifications and experience of the firm; such as Core business and years in business
b) Relevant experience of the firm related to the assignment
c) Technical and managerial capability of the firm
