Strengthening Africa’s Health Security through One Health
Africa CDC and the African Union – Inter-African Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR) have launched two bold strategies to counter rising health threats driven by climate change, urbanisation and zoonotic spillover.
- Zoonotic Disease Prevention & Control Strategy (2025–2030)
- Climate Change & Health Strategic Framework (2025–2029)
These frameworks translate the One Health approach into action – linking human, animal and environmental health to prevent outbreaks before they happen.
