Alignment, Not Overlap: Africa CDC and AMA Strengthen Coordinated Action
In a clear demonstration of continental alignment, Africa CDC and the African Medicines Agency (AMA) have reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening Africa’s health security and regulatory landscape.
During a courtesy visit, the Director-General of AMA, Dr Delese Darko, met with Dr Jean Kaseya at the Africa CDC Headquarters in Addis Ababa. The two leaders underscored their determination to work collaboratively in advancing the continent’s health priorities.
Dr Kaseya reiterated his ongoing advocacy for universal ratification of the AMA Treaty – an essential milestone for achieving regulatory harmonisation across all African Union Member states.
